The Records and Songs Behind the Designs

· The Band

Many of our designs carry the names of our records and songs. If you know us, you'll spot them right away. If you're new, here's where each one comes from.

Victims of a Bomb Raid

Our 1984 EP is one of the records that made us a byword for d-beat. Two designs carry its title over a grainy skull and blast cloud in a framed panel: one in warm tan, one in stark white.

Set Me Free

Set Me Free is a song from the same EP. Our design puts the title under the band's long-haired skull, with ANTI CIMEX arched above it.

Absolut Country of Sweden

Our 1990 album came after we re-formed. Our Absolut Country of Sweden design is pure type, stacked like a bottle label.

Scandinavian Jawbreaker

Our 1993 album was our last. Its warrior turns up three times: in heavy black ink, in two-tone grey, and inside a red anarchy circle with blackletter type.

Jawbreaker, the film

En film om Anti Cimex is Swedish for "a film about Anti Cimex". The 2025 documentary Jawbreaker has its own design, with a dripping title.

The wider family

Drummer Charlie Claeson founded the label Cimex Records in 2020 and plays in the Gothenburg d-beat band Wolfhour. Both have a design here, and so does The Chris Rolling Squad, a French trio with an album on Cimex Records.

And the monsters

Frankie, the Axe Demon, the Uranium Reaper and the Total Chaos skull bring the horror-comic side of our art.

Every design comes on tees, long sleeves, crewnecks and hoodies, with kids' and youth sizes too.
